The Wrinkly Rams - Live Merino Sheep Shearing Show

The Wrinkly Rams is a cafe, retailer, and tourist destination which can be found in the South Island of New Zealand deep in McKenzie County which is New Zealand's equivalent to the wild west. The local area is known for it's famed Merino Wool which is considered by many the ultimate fabric because of it's unique properties in hot or cold conditions.
The Brief
I was approached by a local business, The Wrinkly Rams, to design a poster for their Live Merino Sheep Shearing Show.

Challenges
The shows' target audience is tourists passing through the area that come from all corners of the globe, from various cultures, and many of which speak little to no English.

Goals
To create a poster that develops upon the Wrinkly Rams current rustic brand and will catch the attention of tourists from many nationalities as well as communicating what is being advertised through imagery.

Unique Solutions
Using a style which is iconic across many cultures, the classic Spaghetti Western poster, It was possible to communicate that there is an exciting story to be told regardless of where the audience is from and what it is about.
